With many thanks to Billion Creation, we’re excited to announce that we have collaborated on a Padres cap collection that will be releasing very soon!
It all started with an idea. As cap collectors, we always have ideas floating around about caps we’d like to see. New Era does offer a way to make your own cap with (almost) any logo and colorway, but at a premium price. What if you want to share your cap idea with a bunch of friends who would wear the same cap? Getting a company to invest in your ideas and designs is no small feat. We fully expected a “thanks, but no thanks” and our designs to reside only in renderings.
We decided to take our chances and reached out to local San Diego company Billion Creation. Billion Creation is well-known for producing some of the best and most unique San Diego Padres designs. An email filled with renderings and colorways was sent with fingers crossed.
Billion Creation said yes to every single cap.
So what can you expect to see in our upcoming collection? Without spoiling it too much:
- Some throwback colorways with a fresh look
- A favorite from last year, remixed
- Brown
- A colorway based on natural colors
- Padres’ colors past and present in one cap
