Many cap wearers like to affix pins to their preferred headwear for some added flair and fan cred, and for good reason; a cap makes for an excellent pin receptacle as there’s plenty of real estate to plant a pin to. A recent run of caps from Lids has permanent metallic pins affixed to them, and this is one such example.

The better of the two Pintastic caps released (stay tuned for the funny story about the first one), this example is done up in gold…or at least, a goldenrod color. Metallic gold makes for an interesting stitch contrast color, but I think you’ll see why on the other side of the cap:
On the wearer’s right you’ll find what gives this cap the Pintastic moniker. The classic Swinging Friar logo is the featured pin on this cap. The pin itself isn’t really a pin in the classic sense; this is riveted permanently into the fabric.
Here’s a closer look at our favorite Friar. The metallic gold stitching found elsewhere on the cap matches up to the gold found in the pin.
Metallic gold stitching is also found in the Batterman logo surrounded by a golden(rod?) border.
Gray makes up the underbrim and black is found in its usual place as the sweatband.
